On the afternoon of October 29, Vice Minister of Commerce Qian Keming and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of Congo Jean Claude Gakosso co-chaired the 10th China-Congo Joint Trade and Economic Committee via video link. The two sides reached broad consensus on cooperation in areas of combating COVID-19, implementing the eight major initiatives of FOCAC Beijing Summit, strengthening bilateral trade and investment and development aid. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Development, Territorial Equipment and Public Works of the Republic of Congo, Jean Jacques Bouya, Minister of Special Economic Zones, Gilbert Mokoki, Ambassador of the Republic of Congo to China, Daniel Ovassa, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, Ma Fulin, and representatives of relevant Chinese government departments.

The two sides signed the Minutes of the Joint Committee after the meeting.
