On the afternoon of 23rd August, Mr. Qian Keming, Vice Minister of Commerce and Ms. Sandra Johnson, Secretary-General of the Togolese Presidency (ministerial level) co-chaired the 2nd meeting of China-Togo Mixed Economic and Trade Committee via video. The two sides reached broad consensus on promoting cooperation in epidemic response, implementing the eight major initiatives of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and strengthening bilateral trade, investment and development assistance. Pré Simféitchéou, Togolese Minister Consultant of the Republic of the Presidency, Paneto Beguedouwé, Togolese Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning of Development and Cooperation, Chao Weidong, the Chinese ambassador to Togo and representatives from related Chinese departments attended this meeting.

After the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes of the 14th meeting of the Mixed Economic and Trade Committee.
